Responsible for operating & maintaining Chery Picker (& other trained equipment) per assignment specifications & requirements. To complete assigned tasks given in a productive & safe manner. This is an industrial worker job, all work is executed to a high quality & auditable standard that is consistent with the companies integrated management systems IMS & policies.

Job Resposibilities

1. Read general arrangement, work orders and production schedules to determine job instructions. Ensure those jobs are carried out as per schedule given by supervisor.
2. Before commencement of operations, carry out equipment inspection and update the observation of the operators check list.
3. Operate a machinery to move, locate, relocate, stack and count products and materials.
4. Carry out pre-start inspection of equipment, completion of checklists and report any identified abnormality.
5. Conduct risk assessment within areas of operation, (such as take 5) and ensure that risk (risk probability and consequence) is well understood and eliminated or controlled for the job and work area. Working closely with Supervision to ensure that operations are activities are sanctioned, supervised and monitored.
6. Maintain safe operations, taking extreme caution in the vicinity of permanent and temporary installations, including overhead or laid high voltage cables and power lines.
7. Maintain efficient operation of the equipment and assist to troubleshoot issues in order to optimize machinery `availability' and 'utilization'. Report any abnormality in the equipment to supervisor immediately
8. Ensure work area preparation and housekeeping are completed safely and diligently, such as ensuring the correct use of tapes and a barricade for high voltage cables.
9. Works closely with 'look out' personnel to ensure high visibility, and navigation of obstacles and changes in environmental conditions.
