Job Title: Senior Asset Integrity Engineer
Location: Qatar, Qatar
Qualification:

 

  • Consultant Engineer holding an applicable B.Sc. Degree with a core of Mechanical/ Engineering or Technology.
  • Applicants must be a member of a Professional Engineering Institution with a grade of Chartered (CEng) Engineer or equivalent held for a period in excess of 8 years.
  • Candidate must have a minimum of 15 years relevant experience in Asset integrity Management, for Gas Processing Plants and offshore installations,
  • With experience of managing implementation of Asset Integrity programs.
Department: Marine/Offshore
Experience: Over 15 years’ expertise in ageing assets in the Onshore/Offshore Gas sector. Served as lead of specialist teams in asset integrity management & corrosion control, with a strong focus on QA / HSEQ and hazard mitigation. Engineering practitioner in verification, corrosion, inspection and operational mechanical integrity assurance

Job Description

  • Candidates with a strong experience in offshore assets, since the installations that are part of the scope of work include two offshore platforms, umbilicals, and subsea pipelines.
  • Skilled in the use of SAP, CMMS and MS-Office software and must demonstrate excellent communication skills in English language.

  • Involvement in the optimisation of plant operations and maintenance programs.
  • Prepare written reports of failure investigation findings and recommend methods for temporary and permanent rectification.
  • Knowledge / experience in welding and NDT of boiler plant and sour service pressure equipment.
  • In-depth knowledge / experience of international codes and standards (NACE / API / ASME / ASTM / etc.) relevant to the work scope.
  • Working under the supervision and direction  Manager Asset Integrity.
  • Undertake any tasks which may reasonably be expected within the scope of the position.

Job Resposibilities

Key Skills

  • Professional / Chartered Asset Integrity Engineer with degree in mechanical engineering / metallurgy / other relevant discipline. Qualifications shall have been gained from reputable university / professional bodies.
  • Strong leadership skills and proactive personality traits, capable of leading development and implementation of new programs. Able to interact directly with Operations management to achieve timely, coordinated actions necessary to assure mechanical integrity.
  • Lead / responsible for close out of mechanical integrity challenges, including co-ordination of asset integrity management activities.
  • Technical: extensively trained and formally qualified with broad experience in mechanical integrity & corrosion management. Significant relevant experience in International Oil Companies’ (IOC) plant operations.
  • Continuously improve business processes by efficiently applying Risk Based Inspection (RBI) philosophies. Expertise in development and optimisation of risk based, long term integrity planning for fixed assets subject to sour service conditions.
  • Compliance management of static equipment integrity requirements and able to maintain and report key performance indicators.
  • Establish RBI and associated methodologies in achieving safe operations of equipment and meeting production targets.
  • Experience in implementation of effective anomaly management systems & Non- Intrusive Inspection (NII) programmes.
  • Manage pressure equipment temporary repairs, including administration of temporary repairs register.
  • Participate in integrity related failure investigations and root cause analyses.
  • Act as a focal point for co-ordination of pressure equipment PM deferrals and waivers.
  • Develop and implement pressure equipment integrity management system. .
  • Fitness for Service evaluation and assessments (pressure equipment including pipelines, piping and PSVs).
  • Knowledge of materials and materials selection, specifically related to the oil and gas industry, for static plant equipment in offshore and onshore facilities.
  • Knowledge in developing written schemes of examination for piping and static equipment.
  • Develop , integrity, procedures and processes to support Asset Integrity Management System.
  • KPI reporting and development of performance metrics for mechanical integrity.
  • Experienced in the use of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and RBI software, preferably using SAP and CREDO software packages.
  • Involvement in the optimisation of plant operations and maintenance programs.
  • Prepare written reports of failure investigation findings and recommend methods for temporary and permanent rectification.
