Job Title:	Inspection Engineer
Location:	Qatar, Qatar
Qualification:	• Good working knowledge of English language. (Speak, Read and Write). • A Mechanical /Metallurgical Engineering diploma / degree. • API certification in API 510, 570,653 & 580 is Mandatory. • AWS / CSWIP 3.1 certification or equivalent will be added advantage • Knowledge of conventional NDT techniques like UT/RT/PT/MT and advance NDT techniques and its application is mandatory.

Experience:	Minimum work experience of 15-20 years in a petrochemical complex with through knowledge of API 580 and API 581. Ethylene cracker experience will be an added advantage.

• Well Conversant with API-510, API-570, API-577, API-571, API-598, API-651, API-

• Familiar with Safety & Work permit system like Permit to work, Risk Assessments for

critical jobs, Emergency response plan, etc. as per the job requirements.

• Shall have good knowledge on RBI process and possible equipment damage

mechanism in ethylene plant and utility plants.

• Experience in Meridium Asset Performance Management software system required.

Shall have good knowledge of the TM,Inspection and RBI module

• Understanding of process safety, risk assessment, engineering control principles.

• Shall be expertise in corrosion control, non-destructive testing, risk analysis, and

thickness monitoring.

• Co-ordinate and liaison with the maintenance, operations, process and Technical

assurance team during RBI study

• Shall be in a position to review the RBI results and build the final inspection strategy

for equipment’s.

• Shall be a team player and able to demonstrate his ability of working with a team of

engineers during the RBI study discussions

• Shall be aware of the ethylene process able to understand the corrosion and other

damage mechanism expected in ethylene plant equipment’s.

• Good work experience & inspection knowledge of Columns, exchangers, vessels,

tanks and other fixed equipment.

• Candidate shall have coating/painting, NDT, verification of Design Calculation.

• Shall be able to read, understand and draw sketches/ drawings, engineering

drawings, isometrics, PID’s to show inspection findings and also be thoroughly

conversant with ASME and API codes and international standards, e.g. API, ASTM,

ASNT, ASME, NACE AWS etc.

• Shall be well aware of the Advance NDT techniques and application of the same in

inspection based on the anticipated damage mechanism.
