This is a Rewinding Technician Industrial worker job, responsible for carrying out electro-mechanical equipment rewinding and perform related work. assigned in accordance with the relevant instructions and specifications. All work is executed to a high quality & auditable standard that is consistent with the companies integrated management systems and policies

1. Assembles and tests electric motor and generator stators, armatures, or rotors: Inspects cores for defects and aligns laminations, using hammer and drift.
2. Knowledge in AC and DC motors and Alternators overhauling. Dismantle, rewind, reassemble and test AC/DC motors and associated equipment’s.
3. Rewind various kinds of electro-mechanical equipment, including single-phase, three-phase, dc fields, armatures, wound stators, and transformers
4. Prepare all reusable parts for rewinding and inspect renewed parts for hidden, structural damage or unusual conditions
5. Fault diagnosis and fault-finding

Job Resposibilities

• Experience in Rewinding and motor overhauling in Shipyards or related Marine industry
• Experience in stripping and detail Armature / Stator electrical motor windings (AC & DC) and then to rewind,
• Experience in Working with motor voltages up to 415 Volts and test voltages up to 2Kv and Testing of AC/DC electrical motor winding and knowledge in burnout techniques,
• Experience in Attending site to test and analyze motors and generators in use using standard industry equipment and determining faults and repair action required
• Detailing of AC/DC motor windings, Rewinding (AC & DC) motors, Re-connection of windings. (AC & DC), Voltage / frequency changes, Correct use of impregnation and stoving  methods, Correct use of tools and test equipment., Correct use of Quality Assurance paperwork.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in the industry
