Welder is accountable to the Production Forman Completion of assigned job. Welder have an authority to make decisions and act on any matter regarding conformance & integrity of operation standard within area of responsibility.
1-Responsible to read and implement process card, welding procedure during welding. follow the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements, Set up components for welding according to applicable specifications, Operate angle grinders to prepare and adjust the parts required to be welded, check alignment of components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces, Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in applicable positions e.g 1G etc.
2-Test and inspect welded surfaces to discover flaws, Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety. Follow relative safety standards and to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves etc.) Completing other temporarily/ permanent tasks required by supervisors.
