Job Title: Financial Analyst

Qualification:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics.
  • Studying towards professional qualification
  • 4 years’ experience of joint venture accounting, financial statement preparation, cost accounting, funding / cash planning, budgeting, accounts / bank reconciliations, financial analysis and reporting.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English.
  • Computer Literacy (MS Office - advanced skills).
  • Accounting / Planning systems – e.g. SAP (FI/CO/ JVA), Business Planning and Consolidation tool (SAP- BPC).
  • Strong problem solving and process definition skills

Job Description

  • Operating within the commercially complex business model of common facility joint venture business configuration and managing 3 to 4 facilities with varied ownership structure and different owners.
  • Working with various stake holders internally and external owners with competing interests while managing functions within Company   operating frame work.
  • Full compliance with the Joint Facilities Agreement (JFA) / Project Management & Services Agreement (PMSA) / Berth Services Agreement (BSA) accounting, cost allocations, application of activity drivers, planning and budgeting and reporting articles.
  • Short deadlines and deliverables on the prescribed monthly financial book closure time table which has cascading financial impact on the other Company ventures.
  • Records and reconcile financial transactions, set up allocation drivers, steward allocated costs, maintain financial accounting books and prepare key performance reports to Management and the Facility owners.
  • Prepares financial and cost analysis for decision making and supports sourcing the data / carry out business impact analysis for the competitive benchmarking activities of Terminal Operations.
  • Provides allocation keys that drive the costs from common areas to the facility, check and validate monthly books are closed properly, SKFs updated and cost accruals recorded in the books in compliance with the financial accounting standards and agreed principles in various services agreement including PMSA, BSA and O&M agreements.
  • Prepare the Legal Entity Review, Management and Owners Reports / Presentations for Terminal Operations. Perform Excess Usage Fee calculations for each partner in Common Facility.
  • Prepare Facility Budgets, post accounting transactions, Prepare facility funding plans and cash calls with 90 day cash estimates, administer cost allocations, generate reports and update procedure that manages various financial processes in RLTO operated joint venture facility.

Job Resposibilities

  • Supports Facility control management ensuring operational documents are reviewed and appropriate approvals obtained for all financial transactions within each facility in compliance with TOFA, JFA/ PMSA/ BSA.
  • Supports hand over of the new facilities in RLTO such as facilities built and owned by third parties and the related accounting, business and treasury related financial system / transactions set up.
  • Coordinate monthly / quarterly reconciliation statements, reports and control documentation that will govern the financial processes at the facility.
  • Develop presentations for Technical Committee meetings, adhoc reports for facility owners and RLTO Management.
