Experience in electronic interface development & Support using HL7 (Health Level Seven) protocol using XML format is essential for this position.
- Experience in exchanging HL7 XML data between HIS and other systems like clinical lab, EKG, Echo, Radiology DICOM, and any other system capable of HL7 exchange protocol.
- Experience in Web-Services based interfaces and interoperability for exchanging healthcare data.
- Experience in HL7 Clinical Document Architecture (CDA) interfaces and interoperability for exchanging medical records, discharge summaries and progress notes.
- Knowledge of other interface tools such as Mirth or others is desirable but not mandatory.
- Epic Bridges interface certification is desired but not mandatory.
- Intersystem “IRIS for Health” Interface Engine experience or training is desired but not mandatory.
- Health Share Information Exchange (HIE) Fundamentals desired for data exchange with external healthcare institutions but not mandatory.
- Basic knowledge of IT TCP/IP and IT networking fundamentals for IP-based interface communications.
- Knowledge of other electronic interfacing products is desirable.
- Experience in interfacing between HIS and Revenue Cycle Management billing systems is desirable.
- Experience in HL7 Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) is also desirable.
