Job Description

An operational expert and supervisor for Quality Control (QC), particularly in relation to dimensional control surveys of structural assemblies and pipeline spools. The Dimensional Controller Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing dimensional survey activities to ensure all structural assemblies and piping spools meet specified dimensions and tolerances. This role assures that dimensional surveys are carried out on fabricated structures and piping spools, including all fabrication marine interfaces. The supervisor outlines the dimensional survey programs, utilizes appropriate tools and equipment, and leads the dimensional control team.

1. Study the project drawings, requirements, and to develop a dimensional control /measurement plan detailing the intervention stages in consultation with project quality lead
2. Responsible for planning and execution of all survey work and ensure that all mating interfaces between fabrication, marine and others are accurately measured, and that “best-fit” scenarios have been evaluated, established.
3. Ensures the DC ITP is strictly followed at each stage, include updates the plan to incorporate any process changes to scope of planned survey work
4. Ensure DC Surveyors are provided with the latest revisions of design, Approved for Construction (AFC) drawings, and project specifications.
5. Liaise with the Client Discipline Representative on all matters affecting dimensional control.
6. Direct and supervise dimensional control activities at the site.
7. Review, approve, and submit dimensional control reports to the Project In Charge.
8. Maintain accurate records of all dimensional inspections and control activities.
9. Keep a log of all dimensional control survey requests and results
10. Ensure all dimensional survey equipment are calibrated and valid.
11. Employee should prioritize the wellbeing of themselves and their colleagues while maintaining a safe and healthy work environment. Adhere to all health & safety protocols, participate in wellbeing & wellness programs, and promptly report any concerns regarding the wellbeing of oneself & others in order to foster a culture of best practice
12. Perform other duties or assignments as directed (Fit up inspections, weld visual inspections etc).
