Job Responsibilities – Mechanical Technician:
* Conduct routine servicing, preventive maintenance, and engine overhauls for diesel generators (25 KVA –2000 kVA).
* Diagnose and repair engine components including turbochargers, fuel injectors, water pumps, starter motors, and alternators.
* Perform cooling system maintenance, radiator cleaning, and coolant top-ups or replacements.
* Install and maintain external fuel tanks (up to 20,000 liters), fuel transfer pumps, filters, and piping systems.
* Perform belt and coupling alignments, generator skidding and rigging, and mechanical inspections.
* Assist with genset installation, offloading, leveling, and foundation checks.
* Work alongside electrical technicians during commissioning and site handover.
* Maintain tools and workshop equipment and report spares/consumables requirements.
* Submit maintenance records, service reports, and logbooks after each job.
* Follow strict HSE procedures, including lockout/tagout, fire prevention, and emergency response protocols.
