Job Title: Garage Technician

Qualification:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from a reputable university is required

  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability and analytical thinking skills.
  • Good understanding of power/energy and water sectors, emerging trends and technologies.
  • Proficiency in English (must) and Arabic (plus).
  • Demonstrated hands-on operational and implementation experience.
  • Ability to work with key stakeholders, senior executives, management team and external partners/advisors through collaboration & teamwork.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.

Good understanding of Qatar and GCC culture and working environment

Experience: 8 years of experience in similar roles in large companies, of which at least 3 years are in positions of progressively increasing managerial responsibilities, demonstrating a strong need for effective leadership skills

Job Description

Conduct vehicle assessments, routine inspections and repairs, based on precise diagnostics, while preparing accurate quotes, maintaining service logs, and adhering to safety and equipment maintenance standards to ensure optimal functionality and client satisfaction.

 

Garage Management

  • Assess vehicles and machinery to accurately diagnose issues, ensuring precision in repair planning.
  • Liaise with clients to understand their automotive needs and communicate any vehicular defects or issues identified.
  • Prepare quotes and work estimates as required to facilitate clear client communications and service planning.
  • Conduct routine inspections of vehicles, identifying and informing clients of any potential issues to maintain vehicle safety and performance.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on vehicles and machinery based on diagnoses and client consultations to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Maintain an accurate log of all work performed, enabling effective tracking and quality control of maintenance services.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of garage equipment and tools, keeping them in a safe and usable condition at all times.

Adhere to company work safety policies, promoting a secure working environment and compliance with regulatory standards

Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
