Job Description

Manage the development, continuous updating, and implementation of long-term and short-term maintenance plans for major equipment, incorporating operational guidelines, PMS tasks, and manpower coordination, while ensuring that all activities are timely and meet specified standards.

Manage the preventive maintenance program and defect card system, analyze maintenance outcomes, and generate detailed reports to optimize operations and prevent major defects, leveraging data from corrective, preventive, and breakdown maintenance activities

Planning Engineering

• Develop and continuously update the long-term outage program for major equipment such as gas turbines, heat recovery boilers and auxiliary systems, incorporating operating hours, O&M recommendations, and PWPA guidelines.
• Prepare short-term maintenance plans on a monthly and quarterly basis, ensuring advanced communication with other O&M teams.
• Coordinate manpower requirements for outage periods in collaboration with other maintenance teams, ensuring adequate staffing and resources.
• Implement the outage program, integrating PMS tasks, additional activities, required spare parts, tools, and manpower, and diligently follow up to guarantee timely delivery.
• Update the defect card system with actual requirements identified by the maintenance team for backlog defects and expedite resolutions.
• Compare planned activities with actual outcomes to ensure timely completion and prevent overdue tasks.
• Review and maintain the preventive maintenance program to minimize major defects, analyse repeated defects, and adjust PMS activities or frequencies to prevent recurrence.
• Collect and record data on corrective, preventive, and breakdown maintenance, and generate weekly maintenance reports that highlight defect statistics and recurring issues.

Manage the implementation and operational effectiveness of PMS such as the permit system, defect card management system, and preventive maintenance system.

Budgeting and Financial Performance

Monitor the financial performance of a given area of activity versus budgets and ensure all activities are carried out in line with the approved guidelines while promptly reporting on any variances to management.

Provide inputs and implement policies, systems and procedure for the assigned team so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled, while delivering a quality, cost-effective service.
