Job Description

1.Power Platform Specialist

Key Responsibilities

  1. Solution Design and Development
    1. Design and develop scalable business applications using the Microsoft Power Platform suite: Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Power Virtual Agents.
    2. Build both canvas and model-driven apps integrated with Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, SharePoint, and Dataverse.
    3. Automate workflows across enterprise applications using connectors, approvals, RPA (UI flows), and custom APIs.
  2. Data Modeling and Integration
    1. Create and manage Dataverse entities, relationships, and business rules.
    2. Integrate Power Platform with external systems (e.g., ERP, CRM, third-party APIs) using Azure Logic Apps, connectors, and custom connectors.
    3. Ensure data consistency, security, and compliance with CRA’s data governance standards.
  3. Dashboarding and Reporting
    1. Design interactive and visually rich reports and dashboards using Power BI, with dynamic filtering and drill-down capabilities.
    2. Embed reports into apps, portals, or Microsoft Teams as needed.
    3. Implement row-level security, data refresh scheduling, and usage analytics.
  4. Governance, Security, and Compliance
    1. Enforce Power Platform Center of Excellence (CoE) governance practices including environment strategy, DLP policies, naming conventions, and ALM pipelines.
    2. Apply role-based security, data access controls, and conditional visibility for apps and flows.
    3. Maintain audit logs, monitor app performance, and ensure security posture is aligned with NDCP and NIA.
  5. Support and Maintenance
    1. Provide L2/L3 support for Power Platform-based solutions.
    2. Monitor app usage, troubleshoot issues, and implement optimizations.
    3. Assist in upgrading or refactoring legacy apps to conform to new platform capabilities.
  6. Training and Documentation
    1. Create user guides, technical documentation, and support materials.
    2. Deliver hands-on training and coaching to end-users and citizen developers.
    3. Promote adoption of Power Platform capabilities across CRA.

 

  1. Innovation and Platform Advancement
    1. Stay current with new Power Platform releases, licensing changes, and roadmap announcements.
    2. Evaluate preview features and assess their applicability for CRA’s needs.
    3. Recommend platform enhancements that increase automation, usability, and integration across business units.
