Job Description

The objective of the audit is to assess whether the Company has established adequate governance, planning, risk management, technical preparation, data readiness, security, testing, change management, cutover, and support arrangements to enable a controlled and successful

migration from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA. The audit is intended to provide assurance that key migration risks have been identified, assessed, and managed; critical business processes, reporting capabilities, interfaces, and key controls will continue to operate effectively in the target environment; and the Company is sufficiently prepared to proceed to go-live without significant business disruption, control breakdowns, data integrity issues, security weaknesses, or compliance concerns.

Job Resposibilities

1Scope of Work

1.Program Governance and PMO

  • Assess whether a robust governance structure with clearly defined roles, responsibilities, reporting lines, and decision-making authority has been established.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of the steering committee, PMO oversight, project planning, budget and timeline control, issue and risk escalation, milestone monitoring, and the governance exercised over third-party implementation partners to ensure the migration program is properly directed and controlled.

2.Migration Strategy and Architecture

  • Determine whether an appropriate migration strategy has been selected, documented, and approved, taking into consideration business, operational, technical, and control requirements.
  • Assess the adequacy of the target SAP landscape, hosting model, infrastructure readiness, HANA sizing, environment design, system integration architecture, and dependencies with interfaced systems to support the planned migration and future-state operations.

3.SAP Readiness and Technical Prerequisites

  • Evaluate whether key SAP technical readiness activities and prerequisite assessments have been completed in a timely and comprehensive manner prior to migration.

  • Examine the status and adequacy of SAP Readiness Check, Simplification Item analysis, Maintenance Planner outputs, add-on compatibility assessments, custom code analysis, and other technical preparation activities to identify and address potential migration blockers.

4.Business Process and Configuration Readiness

  • Assess whether future-state business processes and related configuration decisions have been formally defined, validated, and approved by the relevant business and IT stakeholders.
  • Examine the impact of the migration on critical business cycles, including finance, procurement, supply chain, manufacturing, maintenance, sales and distribution, and reporting, and determine whether key business requirements and internal control considerations have been adequately embedded into the target design.

5.Data Readiness and Migration

  • Determine whether effective controls have been established over data identification, cleansing, mapping, transformation, migration, validation, and reconciliation.
  • Assess the adequacy of the data migration strategy, data governance arrangements, ownership and accountability for data quality, mock migration activities, reconciliation methodologies, exception handling processes, and the readiness of key master and transactional data objects, including business partner conversion and related dependencies.

6.Security, Access, and Controls

  • Evaluate whether the security and control framework for the target SAP S/4HANA environment has been appropriately designed and is ready for deployment.
  • Assess the design and readiness of authorization concepts, role redesign, Fiori access arrangements, segregation of duties analysis,

privileged and emergency access controls, interface and batch user access, transport management controls, and audit trail and logging requirements to ensure the future-state environment operates in a secure and controlled manner.

7.Testing and Quality Assurance

  • Assess whether a comprehensive testing and quality assurance framework has been established to validate the readiness of the solution prior to go-live.
  • Examine the scope and adequacy of unit testing, system integration testing, user acceptance testing, regression testing, interface testing, security testing, performance testing, and mock migration testing, together with defect management processes, test evidence retention, exit criteria, and formal business sign-off mechanisms.

8.Change Management and Training Readiness

  • Assess whether an effective change management, communication, and training framework has been established to prepare business users, process owners, and support teams for the transition to SAP S/4HANA.

  • Evaluate the adequacy of stakeholder engagement, training plans, training delivery, user readiness assessments, communication activities, and knowledge transfer arrangements to support adoption of the target solution and effective post-go-live operations.

9.Cutover and Go-Live Readiness

  • Determine whether the Company has developed a comprehensive and controlled cutover plan to support the transition from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA.
  • Assess the adequacy of task sequencing, dependency management, downtime planning, dress rehearsals, final migration activities, go/no-go criteria, contingency arrangements, rollback planning, and the command-and-control structure established to manage cutover and the immediate post-go-live period.

10.Business Continuity and Post-Go-Live Support

  • Evaluate whether adequate arrangements have been established to support business continuity and operational stabilization following go-live.
  • Assess the readiness of hypercare support arrangements, incident and escalation management processes, knowledge transfer from

implementation partners to internal support teams, backup and recovery arrangements, disaster recovery alignment, monitoring and alerting capabilities, and the overall post-implementation support model intended to sustain stable business operations after migration.

Scope Exclusions

The audit will be limited to migration readiness and the adequacy of arrangements established prior to go-live. Unless specifically requested, the audit will not constitute a full post-implementation review of the SAP S/4HANA environment after go-live, nor will it include a full technical configuration review of all SAP modules, a detailed penetration test, or a comprehensive re-performance of all business process controls outside the context of migration readiness.
