Job Title: Senior Machine Operator(Machine Shop)
Location: Qatar, Qatar
Qualification:
  • Primary education, able to communicate in simple English.
  • For Trainee Machinist, to have taken GCE "N" Levels and obtained at least 2 passes, or have taken
  • GCE "0" levels and obtained at least 1 pass. (in order to qualify for the ITI course).
Department: Marine/Oil & Gas/Off shore
Experience: • At least 4 years' relevant working experience or at least 2 years of supervisory experience. •Experience in operating CNC or Manual machinery in Shipyards or related Marine industry.

Job Description

i. Generic

ii. Functional

  1. Able to monitor work progresses and understand material speciation.
  2. IT Knowledge Excel, words and Auto-cad/engineering drawings
  3. Able to understand CNC machine system (FANUC System and Siemens system).
  4. Ability to understand AUTO CAD Drawings / Machining drawings.
  5. Ability to operate and understand machining lathe, milling, and grinding, boring and drilling machine.
  6. Ability to operate and understand onsite machining, prepare jig & fixture brackets
  7. Ability to use measuring tool Vernier caliper, micrometer, caliper and dial indicator etc.

Ability to understand laser alignment tools.
