Job Description

Direct responsibility of Quality Control activities on board and work shop for Pipe installation and Pipe Welding activities. Successfully complete the entire workshop activities like fit up inspection, welding inspection, Non Destructvue Testing (NDT), Post Weld Heat Treatment (PWHT), pressure testing coordinations as per approved Inspection Test Plan and project requirement.

Job Resposibilities

Key Accountabilities:

1. Conduct Quality Control Inspection activities in line with the QMS standards / procedures.
2. Monitor and report any issues and delays to superior promptly.
3. Ensure latest drawing revision, qualified welding procedures and approved welders being used during the fabrication activities.
4. Monitor and ensure calibarated equipement / instruments are used for the fabrication, inspection and testing as per the approved procedures and yard standards.
5. Continual in process inspection to have minimal or zero re-work and report rework -if any.
6. Closely monitor the fabrication activities to avoid any rework in the fit-up/welding.
7. Assist supervisor (Engineer shall prepare ITP ) to prepare Inspection and test procedures for the assigned projects
8. Accept / Reject / Suggest in case of failures on jobs, Perform in process and final inspection, and cooridnate with Client and class for the inspection as per the approved ITP' s
9. Facilitator for department's drive for continual improvement.
10. (Conduct NDT activities at site and produce NDT reports. — Qualification mandatory. ) Cooridnate NDT, Post weld heat treatment, pressure testing as per approved Inspection Test pain
11. Monitor the performance of welders and report to welding engineer /engineer at regulkar intervals.
12. Motivate productive and safe performance of workers.
13. Ensure all HSE and Quality aspects are met.
